4. Biodiversity Conservation – to increase knowledge about the biodiversity of the Amazon biome, especially the Belém Endemism Center (portion of the Amazon in the states of Maranhão and Pará, east of the Tocantins River); contributing to the conservation of public and private conservation areas; and to promote environmental education. Highlights: ProGoeldi Program for the revitalization of Goeldi Museum’s Zoobotanical Park, in Belém, Pará; Conservation of Mangroves; and Conservation of pollinators, especially non-stinging bees.
